Single Line Input

Request a single line of text input from the user

  • Create a new form.
  • Click the Add Widgets dropdown on the left and choose Single Line Text from the menu.
  • The configuration screen for the Single Line Text widget pops up. Adjust the parameters as you need.
  • Change the text field label to reflect what you are requesting.
  • Provide a brief description of why you need the information.
  • To provide additional information about the input you are requesting, you can add it to the tooltip body.
  • The tooltip is normally hidden and appears when the user hovers over the help icon at the right side of the field.
  • If the user is required to fill in the text field, make sure the Value Required checkbox is on.
  • To limit how much text the user can enter, set the Maximum size of the field to an appropriate value.
  • You can also change the name of your form. Click on the form name above the Steps tab and edit to change the form name to whatever you like.
  • Click the Save Changes button once you are satified.
  • Finally click the Save button at the top to save the changes to your form.

At this point you can publish the form and get the link to the form from the Share tab at the top of the panel.
